Local ReMax Agent Teams Up with NFL Legend Marshall Faulk to Fight Breast Cancer

(PRWEB) January 17, 2010 -- On November 13, 2009 at the San Diego Air and Space Museum, Lindy Kaiser and her team hosted a Casino Night featuring a Texas Hold-Em tournament, blackjack, roulette and craps to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk which in total raised over $85,000! The event was co-hosted and emceed by NFL Legend and future Hall of Fame running back, Marshall Faulk whose presence at the event marked the San Diego icon's commitment to the fight against breast cancer. "I am proud to support Lindy and our team's efforts as we raise money in hopes of finding a cure to this insidious disease." the NFL legend said.

In her third year as Captain of Marshall Faulk's MVPs, the 2009 Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk Team, Lindy Kaiser has made fighting breast cancer a rewarding experience for all involved. In order to raise money each year, Lindy has created various creative fund-raising ideas which culminated in this year's Casino Night Fundraiser which took place at the spectacular San Diego Air and Space Museum. Over 250 people attended the event which featured tasting tables donated by many of the city's finest restaurants, beer and cocktails for donations plus a silent and live auction with everything from romantic getaways to ski trips to rare sports memorabilia. The auctions were highlighted by Celebrity Emcee Marshall Faulk auctioning off many of his own autographed collectibles as well as items such as an autographed Willy Mays baseball bat.

Most of the attendees were their to not only support the cause but also to participate in the exciting Texas Hold-Em poker tournament which raised thousands of dollars for the fight against breast cancer while capitalizing on the poker craze. "People love poker and they want to come out and support a good cause, so we put the two together and it has been a lot of fun" said Lindy Kaiser.

Lindy and the whole Marshall Faulk's MVPs Team plan to host more events like this one as they set their goals to surpass all three years prior in 2010.
