Brent Darnell to Speak at Georgia Tech Alumni Career Fair

Atlanta (PRWeb) March 16, 2007 -- At the invitation of the Georgia Tech Alumni, Brent Darnell, an expert in the area of emotional intelligence and President of Brent Darnell International and a Georgia Tech undergraduate alum class of '81, will speak at this year's upcoming Alumni Career Fair and Conference.

The 24th annual Alumni Career Fair and Conference, which will be held on Wednesday, March 28, is a gathering for alumni that are active job seekers and those who are just looking. This year's event will be held at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta located at 2 Galleria Parkway Southeast, Atlanta, GA 30339. This one day conference will begin at 7 am and will adjourn at 5pm; Brent's presentation, Emotional Intelligence: Foundation for Your Future, will last from 8 am - 9 am. Alumni may register for the conference by visiting gtalumni.org/CCAlumni. The deadline for registration is March 21 at 8 am.

With 2 full-time staff members, Georgia Tech's Alumni Association Career Development department assists Georgia Tech alumni with career planning, job searching, career transition activities and job placement. The Alumni Association knows that one of the most effective ways to advance careers is through networking. They offer several opportunities to help alumni build strong professional relationships. Their Experienced Professionals Search Network, Georgia Tech Alumni Network (GTAN) and Women Alumni Network help alumni exchange ideas and make connections. Speakers and programs are aimed at the betterment of Georgia Tech Alumni.

Brent Darnell specializes in teaching people skills to technically trained professionals who can benefit from gaining a higher level of people-to-people skills. Georgia Tech Alumni are largely technical professionals and high achievers, coming out of one do the top technical universities in the country, and are exactly the kind of people that can benefit from the knowledge that Brent has to impart.
